The Redwood Gun Guy: 30 Posts Later
Introduction:
I wanted this weeks post to serve as a thank-you supporting my blog thus far. I've been making weekly posts for over half a year now, and this has been a great time for me. My hope is that you have gotten something out of this as well. I try to talk about things that I have a decent understanding of with hopes that I can either teach someone something they didn't know before, or I can spark an interest in someone to look into something further. With that being said, thank you for coming to my blog and thank you for reading!
Details:
One thing that I did not expect when I started this blog was how far reaching it would become. I am regularly get weekly views from readers in Europe, Asia, and the Middle East. This was such a surprise to me because I honestly didn't expect my content to reach much further than my state, let-alone my continent. In countries that are much less gun-friendly, I hope that my content helps get someone into the hobby as best they can in their country.
I think I owe a good amount of my popularity to one particular post, the blog on 3D printed guns. This is one of a few posts that consistently gets views every week and is my most popular post to date. I think it has a lot to do with hobby gun-builders finding the files linked in the post and sharking this with others.
When I started The RGG, I was nervous about putting it out there for everyone to see, because I haven't always been so forthcoming with my hobbies in my personal life. I was happy to see that people in my life were receptive to the idea and encouraging.
Conclusion:
Hopefully after this post, I can finally qualify for Google's monetization platform and I can start making this blog something that gives me some tangible benefit. With over a thousand views so far, I am encouraged to continue The Redwood Gun Guy and hopefully I can continue to grow things into something even better than it already is. Sorry that today's post doesn't have my traditional content, but I thought it was important for my 30th post to show my gratitude and say thank you for supporting this project so far.
