The CZ75 Series

Image
My CZ P01 Introduction The CZ75 is a series of pistols designed and manufactured in Czechoslovakia and, nowadays, in the Czech Republic. It is chambered in 9x19mm and it's known as one of the 20th Century "Wonder nines". The CZ75 is a DA/SA pistol, meaning that the pistol will fire in double action when the hammer is down, with follow-up shots being single action. The CZ75 is one of the most popular 9mm pistols, and its variants are world renowned for their ergonomics, dominating the space of competitive pistol shooting. Technical Details The most noteworthy and obvious element of the CZ75 that makes it unique is the slide-frame arrangement. On a typical pistol, such as a 1911 style, tracks on the internal portion of the slide ride on rails on the frame. The CZ switches these, with the slide riding on internal rails on the frame. This provides a variety of benefits that shooters of CZ75's swear by, as well as some slight drawbacks. The greatest benef

Introduction The AK variants of the former Yugoslavia have a special blend of unique features that I've always found makes them just that little bit more interesting. Whether it's a civilian or a military variant, they're instantly distinguishable from their kalashni-cousins by their unique three-slotted handguard, but their differences go quite a bit deeper. Technical Details The M70 series of rifles (excluding the M76 and M77) are very functionally similar to the typical AKM in that they're chambered in 7.62x39mm, and have all the features you'd expect on an AK, such as the right-side charging handle, paddle mag release, and safety selector. The M70 series has many atypical features that set it apar

First Post + About Me Logo created @  LogoMakr.com I think the typical way people start these things is: Hello! Welcome to my blog! Okay now that that's out of the way, let me tell you a bit about myself. My name's Mike, I'm a recent graduate of Grand Valley State University over in Grand Rapids, Michigan. As you've likely guessed, I'm a bit of a gun guy. Some guys have movies, others cars, my thing is guns. I'm a big fan of a bunch of the big gun-centered YouTube pages like Forgotten Weapons, inRange, Hickok45, TFBTV, etc. The bulk of my content will likely center around my own guns, other guns my family and friends have, and just general firearms content that I find interesting. My taste in guns is pretty balanced between new stuff and historical. I sorta have a thing for "bad guy guns" so I'm a big fan of anything combloc. Now that's not to say I recoil at the sight of an AR-15, I just find them a bit boring compared to the pleth
